So, I looked into it a bit and see a lot of people seem to have the same issue with a really high pitch voice. So, there's multiple voice types for each gender, but for the life of me I can't figure out what controls it or why mine is so high. Then I was playing with a buddy the other day, and his character had a deep, rougher voice, and he started with the same present when making his character as mine. I made another character to see if I could change it, and it sounded like it might have been a bit better, but was still high pitched. I was asking a guy in a posse the other day if you can change voice, and he said his sounds annoying and high pitched too and that's just how they all are. If not, still would be nice to be able to change it with the other options. Even more, why not have whistle settings in the post creation editor? Assuming if that is even what controls voice some how. Why does R* do shit like this? Why not just have a few preset voices or a pitch slider. It's completely asinine that your voice is controlled by some mysterious, hidden variable. I absolutely HATE how my dude sounds like a chick. I don't wanna waste the gold if it won't change the voice, though. Also, since you can't edit whistle settings when you edit and already made character, if I randomize and then re-make to my liking, is there a chance the voice pitch can change? I'm in the editor and I have a different heritage and everything that looks satisfactory. So lowering the pitch doesn't control the voice.ĭoes ANYBODY have a DEFINITIVE answer on EXACTLY what controls your voice pitch. My voice sounds like it's MAYBE different a little bit, I can't compare them side by side, but still on the high side. I made another character and I can't remember the whistle setting for my main, but I went to the low sides with this one and just randomized my character. I see countless topics when searching for info from people with the same problem, who have feminine or pre-pubescent voices. My character is a gruff looking dude in his late 30's and I sound like Link from Legend of Zelda. I have yet to see a SINGLE definitive answer, anybody with proof, or any videos actually detailing the subject. Some say it's whistle type, some say it's whistle pitch/clarity, some say it's tied to heritage, some say it's tied to age. There's so much misleading and wrong information on this topic.
